Who we are
This website is run by Parrot & Compass Media, founded by Tony Ehteshami ("we", "us"). We decide how the personal information described here is used. You can reach us about privacy through our contact form or by email at tony [at] parrotandcompass [dot] com.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email, company website or social profile, what you need, and your message.
- Call bookings: if you book a call, Calendly collects the details you enter on its booking page, under its own privacy policy.
- Technical data: our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss working together (steps you asked us to take, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries).
- To keep the website working and secure (our legitimate interest).
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent where required.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We use a small number of service providers to run the business, and they process data on our behalf: Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Google Workspace (email), and Calendly (call booking). Some of these providers store data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact unless we start working together.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Contact us through the contact form or at the email address above and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali; in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner).

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
